A QR code for your cards, flyers and window that you can change after printing

A box of five hundred business cards lasts a long time. So does the vinyl on the shop window and the flyer in every bag. The things they point to don't: the booking link changes, the menu gets a new address, you move from one social profile to another. A QR code on print is worth having only if you can change where it goes without printing again.

Two ways a code on print goes wrong

1. The code points straight at one address. A static code has the web address printed into its squares. Change your website, your booking system or your profile, and every card already handed out opens the old one.

2. The code belongs to a subscription. Many "free" QR generators make dynamic codes that route through their own servers, then turn into a subscription after a short trial. Stop paying and the code on every card, flyer and window stops with it. We priced one such app out line by line in how the trap works.

What a code on small business print needs

Three ways to do it with us

One thing to send people to? A $19 code, paid once, can be a website link, a business card that saves your name, number and email to a phone, your social profiles, a coupon, your WiFi, and seven kinds more. You choose after you pay, and you can switch kinds later. Change it whenever you like. No extra charge while HelmQR operates the service. You get PNG, SVG and print-ready PDF files, with your colors, a line of words and your logo if you want them. Ready-to-print signs made from your code come with it: a counter card, a window sign and a table tent.

Different print doing different jobs? Packs are 3 codes for $45, 5 for $69 or 10 for $99, paid once. Every code works exactly like a $19 code. Put one on the cards, one in the window and one on the flyer, and each has its own scan report, so you can see which piece of print is being scanned.

No website worth printing? A $99 code and hosted page, paid once, gives you a business card page at helmqr.com/northside-plumbing: your photo, your logo and your story, with buttons to save your details to contacts, call, text and email. You edit it yourself, whenever you like, with no extra charge while HelmQR operates the service.

One payment. No monthly fee from us. It keeps working while we operate the service. Not a promise the service runs indefinitely.

The $19 business card and the $99 one

They share a name and do different jobs. The $19 business card is your name, number and email with a save button. The $99 one is a whole page: your photo, your logo, your story. If all you need is for your details to land in someone's phone, the $19 code does it.

Questions

Can I change where the code goes after the cards are printed?

Yes. Open your private edit link, point the code somewhere new, and the cards you already handed out open the new place. There's no extra charge for the change while HelmQR operates the service.

Can I put my logo and colors on the code?

Yes, and it costs nothing extra. During setup you choose the colors, add a short line of words under the code and upload your logo. We test every design before your files go out.

Can I see whether anyone scans it?

Yes, for a code that opens through us. The scan report shows how many scans, on which days and at what hours, roughly where (never closer than a city) and on a phone, tablet or desktop. A WiFi code that joins automatically never contacts us, so it has nothing to report.
