A few things worth knowing
FAQ
Is this actually a subscription in disguise?
No. You pay once: $19 for a code, $45, $69 or $99 for a pack of 3, 5 or 10, or $99 for a code and a hosted page. There is no plan, no tier, and nothing set up to charge your card again. If you ever see a second charge from us, it's a mistake. Email us and we refund it in full.
Does the code keep working without a renewal?
One payment. No monthly fee from us. It keeps working while we operate the service. Not a promise the service runs indefinitely.
Can I put my logo on it?
Yes, and it costs nothing extra. During setup you can choose the colors, add a short line of words under the code, and upload your logo (PNG or JPEG). We test every design before your files go out. Change the look later from your edit link and new files arrive by email. The code you already printed is not changed by it: it opens what it opened before.
Can I buy several codes at once?
Yes. 3 codes for $45, 5 for $69, or 10 for $99, paid once. Every code in a pack is set up on its own, with its own edit link, design, scan report and PNG, SVG and print-ready PDF files, and no password. Change it whenever you like. No extra charge while HelmQR operates the service. Within 30 days of purchase, email hello@helmqr.com for a full refund of what you paid. Refunding a code switches that printed code off. Refunding a pack switches off every code in it. Refunding a page takes the page down.
What's the difference between this and a free QR generator?
A free QR code that never needs to change is genuinely fine, and you don't need us for that. This exists for the moment you need to change what a printed code does. The app on the receipt charges to edit. See the receipt.
No. They're copied from one real, published pricing page belonging to an actual "free" QR code app, checked October 3, 2026. We just don't think it's our place to make this page about one company's name. The receipt is on How the trap works.
How fast will I actually get my code?
The moment Stripe confirms the payment, our script reserves your code and emails you the setup link, with no person involved. Then you choose what the code does, see exactly what a scan will do, and confirm, and the PNG, SVG and print-ready PDF are emailed when you do. Until you finish, a scan of the code opens a page saying it isn't pointing anywhere yet, and there is no deadline for setting a code up. If a link doesn't turn up, get it sent again at helmqr.com/recover.
Can I change it later?
Yes, using the private edit link in your delivery email. No login. Change it whenever you like. No extra charge while HelmQR operates the service. Changing where a code points needs no reprint, and a new look is optional: the code you already printed is not changed by it. Changing a WiFi or email/SMS code that joins automatically, or switching a code between joining automatically and opening a page, needs a reprint, and we send you the new files. Nothing renews, nothing's automatic.
Should my WiFi code join automatically or open a page?
Your choice, during setup, and neither is right for everyone. Joins automatically: phones connect on scan, no typing. The network details are printed inside the code itself, so if your password changes you'll need new files and a reprint. Opens a page: the network name and password, with one-tap copy buttons. If the password changes, update it and the printed code keeps working, with no extra charge while HelmQR operates the service. An email/SMS code has the same choice: open the app directly, or open a page with the buttons. You can switch between the two later, with no extra charge while HelmQR operates the service. We'll send new files, and you reprint.
What exactly do I fill in on the payment page?
Just your email address and your card. Nothing else: you choose what your code does after you pay, see exactly what a scan will do, and confirm before anything is printed.
Do you need my account, my password, anything like that?
No login required to buy one, and no password after. Just the email on the order: it is the only address that receives your edit link, and the only one that can recover it.
