Privacy & Terms
This page exists because you should be able to check what we do with your information before you pay us, not after. It is deliberately short, because we deliberately collect very little.

Payment card details go to Stripe and never touch our systems. We never see your card number.
A few companies do parts of the job for us, and only that: Stripe takes payments, Cloudflare runs the site, Vercel makes your files, and Resend sends our emails. Cloudflare keeps standard edge request logs, as any web host does.
Your code's record — what it does, your email, your links, the scan count — is kept for as long as the code is active, which is the point of buying it: a printed code has to keep resolving indefinitely. Ask us to delete it and we will, but understand that deleting the record is the same as switching the printed code off.
A page's words and photographs are kept for as long as the page exists. Get a refund, and its words and photographs are deleted with it. Photographs are deleted straight away. The words are gone from our backups within 30 days. If we ever have to take a page offline for breaking the rules, it's hidden, not deleted, so we can put it back if we got it wrong.
There is a list, and it is opt-in only. At the end of setup, once your code or your page is already working, one question is asked — Want to hear from us? — beside a box that starts unticked. Leave it alone and nothing happens: setup is the same either way, and nothing is added. Tick it and your email address goes on the list, with the date and which product you were setting up. Nothing else: no name, no purchase history, nothing about what your code does.
What the list is for: a few emails a year at most — a new feature, or a sale. Nothing else, ever.
Leaving takes one click. Every email from the list carries a link that takes you off it — no login, no "are you sure", no survey — and the link keeps working however old the email is. A refund takes you off the list too. Leaving changes nothing else: your code, your page and your links are untouched.
The list is separate from your order and from the refund record below, and none of them is used for another: the list is not drawn from orders, and a refund is not decided from the list.
And one promise, in my own words, because it is mine to make and not a description of how the software happens to work: the list is never shared and never sold. I am the one person who runs this, and nobody else gets it.
Not working the way you expected within 30 days? Full refund, no argument. Email hello@helmqr.com and we refund what you paid — the $25 code or the $99 page, either one. We don't ask you to justify it and there is no restocking fee or partial-refund tier.
Any purchase can be refunded within 30 days. Refunding a code switches the printed code off; refunding a page takes the page down, and its words and photographs with it. If you have paid a $5 change fee — the fee for pointing a printed code somewhere new instead of reprinting it — that is refundable within the same 30 days on the same terms. After 30 days we will still read your email and still try to help, but the guarantee is 30 days.
One thing outlives a refunded page: a record of the refund itself — what was refunded, how much, when, whether the page had been published, and the email address the purchase was made with. It holds nothing from the page: no words, no photographs. We keep it so that refunds can be looked at as a pattern, not one at a time, which is what lets us offer the guarantee on the $99 page at all.
WiFi and email/SMS codes can be printed either way, and you choose during setup: the code opens a page through us, or it carries the details inside the printed code so a phone joins the network or opens the app directly, without looking anything up. A code that carries its details can still be changed, and so can the choice itself — every such change needs a reprint, which is why every such change is free. Your $25 buys the code, not the shape of it.
Email hello@helmqr.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. There is no form and no ticket system — it is one person reading the mail. If you are in the UK, EU, or a US state with its own privacy law, the rights those laws give you apply here, and this is how you exercise them.
hello@helmqr.com — for refunds, data requests, or anything else.
